Swagbucks Is Real 5,8/10 9252 votes

Swagbucks is one of the best rewards sites out there. It is a legit site and many people have made money from it. They offer a ton of prizes to choose from. Although you’re probably not going to become millionaire on the site, the points you earn can help you save big on your purchase through the gift cards. If Swagbucks isn't a scam, then they should really reach out to me and help me resolve this. I don't 'need' the gift card, but having done my part, it seems like Swagbucks would want to do theirs. Is Swagbucks Real? Yes, Swagbucks is real because millions of dollars have been paid out to members since the reward site was established in 2008. Its members are rewarded with real cash and gift cards. Is Swagbucks Safe? Yes, Swagbucks is SAFE. Just like we said that it is highly legitimate, Swagbucks is also safe to use. They will never ask for any sensitive information such as your credit cards and bank.

Looking for easy ways to earn money online and someone has recommended joining Swagbucks to you?

Yes, it works, but honestly, how much money can you make on Swagbucks in a day or even in a month?

Is it really worth the time? Would it make you a living or even pay for the internet bill? Or is it just trading time for pennies?

Are there better alternatives to making money with Swagbucks from your own home?

Does Swagbucks Give You Real Money

These are some of the questions that I will be answering in this article in order to make you aware of what might happen before you join and start investing your time doing online surveys or watching videos in order to make money with Swagbucks.

Real

So, let’s start!

First of all:

Can You Make Money On Swagbucks?

Yes, you can make money on Swagbucks by doing different stuff.

You could make money with Swagbucks by doing some stuff that you already do such as using Swagbucks search engine in order to do the normal web searches that you do on daily basis.

Or you could make money on Swagbucks by dedicating the time to do things that you don’t necessarily want to do such as: taking surveys, watching videos, playing games, …etc.

But the important question is:

How Much Money Can You Make on Swagbucks?

Here’s how much money you can make with Swagbucks:

A survey that takes 15-20 minutes to complete might pay you around $1. (Many pay even less)

So, in an hour you could make 3-4 dollars!

That’s less than the minimum wage in many states!

Assuming that you can work three hours per day, five days a week or twenty days per month, then:

$3 X 3 Hours = $9 per day.

$9 X 20 Days = $180 per month for working three hours a day, five days a week, for a complete month! And that’s very optimistic!

  • You might make no money at all with Swagbucks, for example, if you don’t live in a country that is supported by Swagbucks, and there are only few countries that Swagbucks accept members from.
  • And you could make few bucks a day by spending hours playing games that you don’t necessarily want to play or by taking online surveys in order to make money.
  • Or you could make few cents, bucks or more in the form of a cashback if you want to by something from one of the major online retailers such as Amazon, but you need to go through Swagbucks website and then go to the retailer’s site in order to purchase, or by you can make few cents a day by using their search engine for your daily web searches.

In general, the ways that you might earn money from Swagbucks with doing things that you don’t necessarily want to do (playing games, watching videos that you didn’t choose, taking surveys and polls, …etc.) don’t pay that much.

For example, a good payout for taking a survey on Swagbucks that might take ten minutes might probably make you one dollar.

And if you were lucky, you would have such surveys available all the time, which means that you could make $6/hour. And working 8 hours a day, that means 48 dollars a day after finishing 48 dollars.

This is assuming that there will be 48 different surveys available to complete every day, which is difficult to happen.

You might think of this as a good side income, but remember that you need to work full time (8 hours) in order to make this money!!

Doesn’t seem a good bargain to me!

And if you want to make money watching videos you don’t choose by yourself, then remember that you need to pay for the internet bundle that you will consume in order to make pennies!

And if you want to make money by doing the things you were going to do anyway such as searching the web, but using their own search engine, then that might be fine, and it would be the most useful way as you are already doing your search.

But remember that their search engine is not as good as Google.

And if you want to make money by getting cashback on the purchases you do on Amazon or Walmart by going through Swagbucks website first, then that’s fine as well, but you can do that only if you were going to purchase anyway.

You don’t just decide to shop online in Oder to get cashbacks!

In general, how much you can make on Swagbucks depends on where you live, how many hours a day you can waste, and the availability of tasks to finish on Swagbucks website.

In short:

You can earn nothing on Swagbucks if you don’t live in one of the few countries supported by them, or you can earn few dollars a day working many hours doing surveys and watching videos on Swagbucks website or app, or you can make few cents a day or few dollars a month doing things you would do anyway by using Swagbucks search engine as an alternative to Google.

How Much Does Swagbucks Pay For Each Task?

The amount of money that Swagbucks pays you for completing each task might differ based on your country, on the type of the task itself, or on the original company that listed that task on Swagbucks in the first place.

Swagbucks

In general, you get what is called Swagbucks Points (SB) for each task.

For example, participating in a daily poll might pay only 1 SB (1 cent!!), and finishing a survey might pay you 100 SBs (1 dollar!).

How many Swagbucks equal a dollar?

100 Swagbucks equal one dollar.

How Does Swagbucks Pay You?

There are different of forms of how you get your rewards from Swagbucks.

After you collect a certain number of Swagbucks, and after a certain period of time has passed depending on the completed tasks, you can withdraw your earned Swagbucks in the form of cash or gift cards.

Does Swagbucks pay cash?

Yes, Swagbucks pay cash into your PayPal account.

How to convert Swagbucks into cash?

After you collect 2500 SBs, you can request to convert them into cash and withdraw it through PayPal.

Or you can turn your Swagbucks into cash by getting a gift card of a similar value.

How To Make Lots Of Money On Swagbucks Fast?

There’s not really a fast way of making lots of money on Swagbucks to my knowledge.

You need to put in lots of hours completing many tasks that pay low rewards, do that on daily basis and finally, turn the Swagbucks you collected into a gift card or into cash that you get through PayPal.

You don’t really get a lot of Swagbucks fast, unfortunately.

How To Make Money On Swagbucks?

There are different ways for making money with Swagbucks, such as:

  1. Taking online surveys they give to you.
  2. Watching video playlists they select for you.
  3. Signing up for free trials to try services or new products.
  4. Playing games online and paying money by yourself for “in-app purchases” more than what they will give you in SB!!!
  5. Get SB as a cashback after you shop online through their website.

The best way to make money on Swagbucks in my opinion is by doing things you were already going to do such as using their search engines instead of Google to do your daily searches, or by going through their website in order to make a purchase that you were planning to do anyway on Amazon or Walmart.

This is the best way to earn money on Swagbucks.

But if you think of earning money by watching videos on Swagbucks, then I don’t recommend that because you will need to waste lots of time watching videos you didn’t choose by yourself in order to make few bucks a day, and this will consume a lot of your internet bundle.

And let’s not talk about taking surveys online that can make you little money.

Swagbucks Available Countries

Swagbucks supported countries are only 11:

  • The United States (and its territories)
  • Ireland
  • France
  • Germany
  • Australia
  • New Zealand
  • India
  • Canada
  • Spain
  • Portugal
  • United Kingdom

If you live in a country that is not mentioned in the above list, then don’t worry, you can check my Ultimate Make Money Online Guide for a better alternative way to make money online instead of just doing online surveys that pay pennies.

And even if you live in one of the above mentioned countries, then don’t get too excited as, like I explained, you don’t really make a living with Swagbucks.

I would recommend checking the same guide mentioned above as an alternative to making money on Swagbucks.

The Problem With Making Money With Swagbucks

Many things I don’t like about Swagbucks for making money online, and the main ones are:

1 – Not Available In All Countries

As mentioned above, if you don’t live in one of the eleven countries mentioned above, then don’t waste your time by applying. You won’t get approved.

Check the last section of this article for a better alternative.

2 – There Might Not Be Available Jobs

All The Time

As I mentioned earlier, you might need to complete 40+ surveys per day in order to make $40+ a day assuming every survey pays 100 SB (100).

You don’t guarantee to have this number of different surveys to complete every day, even if you have all the day to finish them.

3 – You Have To Accept What Is Thrown To You

You don’t have control over the surveys you have to complete and you don’t choose by yourself the videos you watch in order to make money from Swagbucks.

That’s not better than a real job that you hate. At least, the real job will pay more money.

4 – You Keep Trading Time For Pennies

This is the problem with this method of making money online, whether it was through Swagbucks or any similar alternative.

Not only that the payout is not that much, but also, you need to keep working in order to earn money with Swagbucks, and the moment you stop working, you stop making money.

In other words, you are a part-time under-paid employee who trades hours for pennies.

While you can build a real business online that pays you even when you are asleep or if you take a couple of days as a break, like it is in my recommended alternative in the last section in this article.

5 – Not Much Money To Make

As explained earlier, you don’t make a lot of money with Swagbucks even when you work many hours a day.

Swagbucks real or scam

Can you make a living with Swagbucks?

No, you can’t make a living on Swagbucks by watching videos, taking surveys or by surfing the web through their search engine.

Conclusion – Is Swagbucks Worth It?

In my opinion, Swagbucks can make you little money if you are in one of the 11 supported countries, but it is little money and not a money to make living with.

Swagbucks

And you need to trade many hours of your day in order to make few bucks with Swagbucks by actively doing tasks such as completing surveys or by watching videos you didn’t choose by yourself.

The only time Swagbucks would be worth it is that when you make online purchases that you were going to do anyway on Amazon or Walmart, but you do it this time through Swagbucks and get a reward or cashback.

And maybe, you can use Swagbucks search engine instead of Google in order to make few cents a day.

In a nutshell, don’t expect to make a living with Swagbucks.

A Better Alternative to Swagbucks for Making Money Online from Home?

Yes, the best alternative to Swagbucks is to build a real online business that takes time and effort to build, but if done right, it can pay you much more than what Swagbucks would pay after wasting hours of your day filling surveys or watching videos that don’t do you anything useful.

I will be honest with you, building an online business takes time before you start getting money, and that is the case with any business even the offline ones.

But once it starts to pay off, it would be much more rewarding than the few bucks that you make from doing tedious tasks on daily basis on Swagbucks.

And with time, this business could make you a living instead of just “swagbucks”.

Real

And better, after you build a successful online business, it can bring you money even when you are asleep or on vacation, unlike with making money on Swagbucks where you have to keep working in order to make money.

And don’t worry!

Online businesses don’t cost that much to start, and better, the method I recommend can be started for free at the beginning using the same place I used to build my online business in order to make money online.

I have prepared the Ultimate Make Money Online Guide for you where I explain how this method works, where can you learn it and how to get started for free in few minutes from now.

Swagbucks is one of the oldest methods of earning some extra cash online with very little effort. Established in 2008, the company has now paid users over $500,000,000 and counting!

Still, you may be wondering, is Swagbucks legit? As someone who personally uses the platform and has gotten paid several times over, here’s my review to answer your questions and fill you in on how it works.

Is Swagbucks Safe and Legit?

So, is Swagbucks legit? Absolutely! But don’t just take my word for it. It’s easy to verify the payouts the platform has made thus far. Plus, you can visit both Trustpilot and the BBB profile of their parent company, Prodege, LLC, to determine their legitimacy.

There are so many get-rich-quick and pyramid schemes online now that it’s hard to tell what’s genuine and which programs are just more scams filling up the search engines. Because of all this clutter, it’s understandable that you might have some reservations about Swagbucks.

Rest assured that this program is 100% legitimate and a safe way to earn money on the web in your free time.

Like every business, there are complaints out there but if you look through them most have been resolved by the company.

Swagbucks Real Review

I personally have contacted them a few times when some of my receipts did not pick up in-store purchases and they responded and gave me credit without any issues. Below is an example of one of those emails.

Is Swagbucks a Pyramid Scheme?

Swagbucks is the furthest thing from a pyramid scheme. Here’s why:

According to the New York State Attorney General, a definitive pyramid scheme is a “fraudulent system” designed to generate an income solely by recruiting an infinite number of “investors.”

Swagbucks Real Or Scam

In other words, it’s an endless cycle of promising people that they’ll get a specific result or benefit, as long as they continue to dish out their money based on your or your organization’s word alone. Swagbucks does not do that, nor do they sell members a specific product or service with continual fees or dues.

Instead, signup is completely free, and you can take advantage of as many or as few earning opportunities as you like. No recruiting is required although they will give you some extra Swagbucks when you refer your friends but it’s totally optional.

HOW MUCH CAN YOU MAKE WITH SWAGBUCKS?

In terms of individual earnings, Swagbucks has claimed that some members earned up to $12,000! Now, don’t get your hopes up too much – that amount of cash is highly uncommon. Members’ earnings usually stay within the range of $50 to several hundred dollars annually. Although, there are the lucky few that break the $1,000 mark.

So far, in my experience with Swagbucks, I’ve earned $586 (the equivalent of 58,644 Swagbucks).

It’s effortless to use and available whenever you need to make a few extra bucks here and there. My earnings come mainly from doing quick polls and taking advantage of their awesome in-store offers (more on that later). So I could definitely be earning a lot more if I took advantage of all they have to offer.

Here are some tips on what to expect from this program and how I earned over $580 dollars and counting.

HOW DOES SWAGBUCKS WORK?

There are several different ways to make money on the Swagbucks site or app. I only do a few of them but you can do as many as you want. Below is an overview of each option:

Shop In-Store

I love their in-store deals which are now called “Magic Receipts”, in the app, because you’re basically uploading your grocery receipts and earning Swagbucks for certain purchases. I love to make money with my receipts and Swagbucks has some of the best receipt earning opportunities out there.

Basically you just check what offers are available, read the instructions carefully to make sure you’re buying the right products and at the right store (as there are some restrictions) and upload your receipt after to get your Swagbucks.

This is where the majority of my earning come from. I’ve earned up to $20 in one shopping trip doing some of these offers so definitely check them out!

Shop Online

You can also earn money shopping online through Swagbucks, similarly to a cashback website. Simply start your shopping through the Swagbucks website or app.

Just hop online and shop as you normally do on sites like Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, or hundreds of other major stores, and earn cashback with each purchase. The amount of cashback will be listed on the website so you will know ahead of time what to expect.

To make it even easier be sure to install their money saving Google Chrome browser extension, called theSwagButton, to get your SBs and a bonus of 25 SBs just for installing it. You can get that here.

Do Surveys

Surveys are another way to earn Swagbucks. To find survey’s select “Earn Your SB” from the toolbar on the screen’s left side after login, and choose “Answer” to navigate to the available surveys, or if you’re using the app just go to the “answer” tab.

There are many categories to choose from (brands, products, etc.). They range between 10-23 minutes long and offer an average of 20-70 SB per survey but sometimes they will offer higher-value ones.

While surveys aren’t going to make you rich it’s a good way to earn some extra Swagbucks. I’ll do one here and there on my phone when I’m bored. It’s also a great way to boost your SB’s when you’re close to cashing out.

Watch Videos

Like watching or even listening to videos? Short clips usually yield about 1 SB each, but hey, it’s fun and incredibly easy. These also vary in genre, from travel to home decor and related topics. The best way to take advantage of this option is to play the videos in the background and relax or do some chores while you earn up to $90 monthly.

Surf The Web

You’re searching the web anyway so why not start from Swagbucks? Just by searching through the Swagbucks search engine (an alternative to Google or Bing), you can earn SBs. Each search earns you 1 SB, no matter the inquiry. Just enter a search term, and boom, you’ve got money.

Print & Redeem Coupons

Yes, you can make money by saving money! Swagbucks pays you for printing and using coupons. This is another one of my favorite ways to earn.

To get to the coupons, just select “Shop” in the left toolbar and then “Grocery Coupons.” They have coupons for – grocery, pet, healthcare, beauty, entertainment, etc. – you can earn 1 SB for each printed coupon and 25 SB for each one redeemed! The maximum is 50 coupons daily.

Make In-Game Purchases on Mobile Games

This is one of the “cashback” opportunities from Swagbucks. If you’ve already got some games downloaded on your phone, you’ve got a head start! Just open up Bejeweled, Angry Birds, or another popular game and earn an average of 4 SB per $1 spent. All you have to do is make sure you open the game from within Swagbucks first so that it tracks your purchases.

If you usually make in-app purchases then this is a great option but I wouldn’t recommend making them just to earn Swagbucks as that would be silly and defeat the making and saving money goal.

Enter Swag Codes

This one is a fun sort of scavenger hunt. If you search around the web from within Swagbucks, you might come across a Swag Code, a short string of numbers and words. They’ll yield instant SBs, but they only last a short time, typically between a few hours or several days. Make sure to get the app. It’ll notify you of each new Code. You can also check their Facebook page or other social media platforms for codes.

Refer Others to Swagbucks

Referring other users to the platform is an easy way to earn cash. If the individual you referred earns at least 300 SBs within the first month of signing up, both of you will receive a bonus of 300 SBs. Plus, you’ll earn 10% of their SB income as long as they’re a member.

If you’re ready to sign up and want to use my referral link to get a 300 SB bonus to start then you can do that here.

Does Swagbucks Give You Real Money?

Members who complete paid activities, such as watching videos and participating in surveys (all described above), earn real money from Swagbucks. Keep in mind that the payments don’t come in the form of direct deposits but are initially distributed as redeemable points, known as – you guessed it – “Swagbucks” or “SB” for short which then can be redeemed for cash or gift cards.

How much are Swagbucks worth?

A single SB is worth approximately one cent. This means that, for every 100 SBs you earn, you’ll have made one full dollar. With this in mind, a good rule of thumb is to set your initial earning goal at $5 and work up from there.

Once you’ve earned enough SBs (at least $3 or more), you can initiate your payout.

I love that I can turn my Swagbucks into cash! I usually will cash out right to my PayPal account. You also have the choice to cash out for gift cards which in some cases can get you a better deal because they often go on sale.

Redeem your points as often as you need to because there’s no advantage to “saving up.” It doesn’t accumulate any interest or collect positive benefits for your total income, so delaying your payments serves no real purpose.

Is Swagbucks Worth the Time?

This is all sounds great but is Swagbucks is really worth your time? This depends on what you mean and how much time you have.

For example, for a teenager who’s just looking to make a few hundred dollars over the summer, Swagbucks is definitely worth the time. It’s a low-stress, low-energy “job” that allows you to earn money whenever, wherever.

However, suppose you’re someone who’s looking to make a full-time job online by taking surveys and watching videos. In that case, you’ll have a hard time making Swagbucks feel like it’s truly “worth it.” Remember that you have to earn up to 100 SBs for every dollar you make. That turnover might not be ideal for someone who’s banking their entire income on online earning opportunities.

Still, Swagbucks is a fantastic platform that gives you the ultimate freedom in filling any small financial gaps throughout the year.

Ways To Get Swagbucks Fast

My Swagbucks Review

Take it from me: I’ve earned just shy of $586 so far just by shopping in-store by taking advantage of their in-store deals and taking a quick poll every now and then. Swagbucks is a trustworthy site that gives you full control over how much you earn and when you “work.” It’s one of the easiest methods I’ve ever encountered for generating some extra income.

It is super easy to sign up with Swagbucks, it’s free and takes seconds. If you use my referral link here you can get a 300 SB bonus ($3 VALUE).

Are you already a member of Swagbucks or a similar platform? Tell me about your experience in the comments below!
